Is it monthly, or a one-time licence?

Monthly — or annual, where you pay for 10 months and get 12. Unlike a one-time licence that goes stale, Salus runs in the cloud and stays current with every SHA and eTIMS change automatically. There's no server to buy, and if you pay annually you'll typically spend less in your first year than a one-time hospital licence costs — while staying covered for the next regulatory change.

How does per-branch pricing work?

You pay per branch for the modules that branch has switched on. A one-room clinic pays for one branch; a chain pays per location, with volume tiers on a central contract. Bundles are priced below the sum of their parts.

Do I need SHA or DHA certification to start?

Accepted Answer

No. Most small facilities are cash-only — you get full value from day one with cash and M-Pesa. SHA claims, capitation and eTIMS switch on when your certification and credentials land.

What happens when the internet goes down?

Salus is a cloud system, so recording a sale does need a connection — but that's far sturdier than a server under the counter. Install it once and it opens like an app; through a short drop it stays on screen and clearly shows you're offline instead of crashing, so you carry on the moment signal returns. And because your patients, stock and ledgers live in the cloud — backed up, not on a box that can be stolen or fried — a lost or broken counter device never takes your records with it. Working fully offline through a long outage (queue sales, then sync when you're back) is something we're actively building; we'll tell you when it's ready rather than promise a date.

Question 5

I run a clinic without a dispensary (or vice-versa).

That's fine — Clinic-only starts at KES 4,300/branch/mo and Pharmacy-only at KES 2,500. Add the other side, or Lab, Imaging, Maternity, Inpatient and SHA Claims, whenever you're ready. The data's already there when you switch a module on.

Question 6

Is there a per-user charge, revenue-share or stock lock-in?

None. Add as many staff per branch as you need with role-based access included. We don't take a cut of your revenue and we don't tie you to a supply chain or device financing — it's a flat subscription. That neutrality is the whole point.
